I built NFT Flappy Bird with Claude Sonnet 3.5 in 2 Hours
@nicholas outlines how he used Claude Sonnet 3.5 to build a game called NFT Flappy Bird, where players can use any NFT from their collection to play. Check out the post to watch a video of how he did it and read his key takeaways from this experiment.
Community Management: A Role-lercoaster
@micah dives into the crucial role of Community Managers in crypto/NFT projects.
Community Managers bridge the gap between the community and the team, facilitating communication, gathering feedback, and ensuring community engagement. They play a key role in driving product adoption and market influence.
Despite the challenges of managing community expectations and dealing with occasional negativity, Community Managers are invaluable in fostering a supportive and thriving ecosystem for artists and creators in the web3 space.
Rethinking Collect as the Like button
@tomu explores why collecting should be a premium feature, a more meaningful action than being the new like button. Collecting pieces should be used selectively, as a way to define interests and onchain identity.
@bfg makes the case for why a more meaningful form of reciprocity is essential in the crypto/web3 space. Rather than superficial follow-for-follow exchanges, deeper bonds are formed by longer comments on meaningful topics or questions, by respectful disagreement, by asking questions, by digging deeper into answers, and by being genuinely interested in people.
@naomiii shares how her lifelong passion for reading, influenced by family, continues to shape her personal and professional life, and why she wants to inspire others to embrace reading.
Why this poet poets onchain (partially token-gated for Trpplr subscribers)
@arjantupan dives into how web3 changes the perception of value for art, including how gas and protocol fees are changing the culture of “free”.
That's it for this week!
We'd love to hear from you — did you enjoy these recommendations? What great writing over the past week or so did we miss?
See you next week,
Paragraph team

Weekly Paragraph annoyances thread If you were BDFOPF, what would you have us work on? BDFOPF = benevolent dictator for one Paragraph feature Things we already know: - Search - Metrics dashboard

Better memberships!
Would love to hear more details! How could we make memberships better for you?
So, right now, it's a bit confusing that there are "subscriptions" (offchain?) and membership and token gating. My hunch is that theyt are all the same thing: a way for a user to access content if (and only if) they meet a certain condition. This condition is whether they have a NFT and _how_ they got the NFT (offchain payment, onchain payment... is irrelevant)
What types of changes would you make? Would you deprecate some of these monetization features and focus on only one membership feature (eg credit card subscriptions OR NFT memberships OR token-gating)? Or thinking of other types of changes?
been trying to understand why the "Read Inline" button isn't working outside of warpcast, but others are. same issue in the Converse XMTP client https://debugger.framesjs.org/?url=https://paragraph.xyz/@paragraph-picks/weekly-digest-vol-1 any ideas would be helpful!
Sections. It's a feature I did like in Substack. Especially to organise my archive for easier access, and to make it easy to link to a topic-focused collection of articles on my paragraph. For example, in my case, there would be a section for weekly poetry shots, my metaverse travelogue and my poetry digest. Ideally, subscribers could choose which sections would be to their liking. You can call it categories, sections, collections, whatever, but I want to organise my articles in a limited set of buckets.
Agreed, sections can be very useful - thanks for sharing!
Okay, I know I should actually wait two days for this, sort of, but I just ran into something that I keep running into, and I have raised a while back, but it was apparently hard to solve. But if I were BDFOPF this week, I would ensure the embeds to NFT marketplaces would all show a preview image. OpenSea links give me just a link, links to @objktcom give me a broken image. I have a listing of poetry nfts that goes out every two weeks, and it's a shame the previews for especially Tezos are not displaying.
Merging mirror accounts into paragraph
More coming on this soon! In the meantime, you can import your Mirror posts and subscribers to Paragraph through our Import feature. Here's a little more info: https://docs.paragraph.xyz/docs/migrating-to-paragraph And if you have a Paragraph account, you can head to the link below: https://paragraph.xyz/settings/publication/import-export Let me know any issues or feedback.
I actually don’t have this problem since I use paragraph. Heard the compliant enough from others. Just sharing to be helpful
Would love to hear from anyone having issues - please send them our way. One of our top priorities is making the Mirror > Paragraph migration seamless and error-free.
Tried migrating my mirror articles and it was a disaster, most of the images (including cover images) wouldn’t upload so they look weird.. would be great to get that fixed
Thank you for bringing to our attention! Would you mind sharing a link to your Paragraph publication, or any screenshots / videos that would help us find which images are breaking? Any help here would be hugely helpful and much appreciated.
Sure! Here's my paragraph (and below mirror to see how they were looking with correct covers etc) https://paragraph.xyz/@jamesmccomish https://mirror.xyz/jamesmccomish.eth
Excellent, thank you! One thing I'm noticing right off the bat is that the post image isn't porting over. e.g., The image below for The Retroactive Goods & Bads post. Are any images from within the post dropping?
I would love to see how read inline will show before clicking publish.
Great idea, thank you
Easier mechanism for in post linking for things like footnotes

COLIN I’M HONORED BROTHER!! THIS IS AMAZING 1000 $degen

Love the idea 😍 even more since I found myself there 😁 But two highligted pieces actually caught my eye and I will read them! -> on protocol fees changing the culture of “free” -> and on using mint button selectively and not as a like (which I'm trying to practice myself now) Great idea!
Appreciate the feedback @bfg! :)
into the idea - tags by interest would be good
For sure, would be fun to have these for different categories / topics at some point. Thank you!
Love this idea
All thanks goes to @reidtandy and the great writers on Paragraph
Thanks for the feedback! 🙏 Please send any great writing our way. :)
