At Paragraph, we want to create a space where writers can focus on what matters most — sharing your ideas — and where readers can discover great writing, connect with like-minded people, and support writers they love.
Today, we’re rolling out an improved publication homepage so new readers can quickly learn more about the author and find their best writing. We’ve also simplified the theming settings to make Paragraph easier to use for writers and to upgrade the reading experience.
Looking ahead to this year, these updates lay the groundwork for what’s to come: helping writers grow their audience, build deeper relationships with readers, and monetize their work in new ways.
Below are more details on the improved publication homepage and post page. Let us know what you think — find us on Farcaster or send a note to hello@paragraph.xyz.
Your publication homepage is often the first impression readers have of your work, and we’ve reimagined it to help you showcase your writing and connect with your audience more effectively. Here are some of the new theming options for your publication homepage:
Featured post — highlight your most recent post, your post with the most views, or a post that describes who you are and what you write about.
Popular posts section — show a handful of your most popular posts so new readers can easily find your best writing.
Author sidebar — introduce yourself to new readers with a summary of what you write about and links to your social accounts.
We hope the new homepage design gives you the tools to highlight what matters most — your writing — while creating a cleaner, more engaging experience for readers.
The new post page has been redesigned to create a cleaner, more focused reading experience. With fewer dividers, lines, and distractions, it’s all about helping readers stay immersed in your writing. Further, readers can now toggle between light and dark mode for a more comfortable reading experience. The biggest improvements, however, are behind the scenes: the new post page is faster, more reliable, and more scalable.
We’re excited to explore the idea of making the post the atomic unit of value — something that bridges the gap between platforms like Medium (which bundles writers into a platform-wide subscription) and Ghost or Substack (which focus on publication-centric models reliant on recurring subscriptions and sponsorships).
The new post page provides a strong foundation for us to build in this direction. We plan to experiment with a variety of novel monetization features aimed at helping writers earn money for their ideas without having to become a full-time writer. The new post page also allows us to continue iterating on features like the Paragraph mini-app on Farcaster and other ways to help writers reach more readers.
Let us know what you think about the redesign or what you would like to see us work on next year, especially anything related to helping writers grow their readers and monetize their work.

Agreed with Kazuma. I'm not a fan of the colors. Part of why I chose Paragraph over substack and even just hosting on my main site, on ghost, was the coloring and customization. I think the new layouts are a significant improvement. However the colors and other limitations make me not want to stay on. EDIT: I DON"T SEE MY MENU ANYMORE. Which was a HUGE reason why I chose Paragraph over beehiiv and substack. That tiny drop down in the author bio does not work for a real menu.
good look, but would love more background color options.
Congrats team!
Thanks Fred! :)
this is disappointing. I would love to get back some customization. This is awful. Please give us the option to have that

Thanks Colin! We'll surely add this to our newsletter, built on Paragraph!
Sad to see you have killed custom CSS
We could count the people that used this feature on one hand unfortunately
Right, but the ability to customize *any* part of the design has been pretty much destroyed. I can now only choose between 2 background colours and 24 accent colours?
It's very fair feedback and part of the tradeoffs we had to make. In general, we've tried to make Paragraph much easier to use for writers & help them focus on writing. We also wanted to improve the reading experience, especially for power readers switching b/w writers. To do that, we had to make some tough calls around limiting customization (at least for now). Know it's probably not the response you want, but we appreciate your feedback.
and pretty much any possibility for custom theming
Nicely done, love it

Good morning
the new interface looks great. props to the team! however a few suggestons as well. the very reason why I started to use paragraph is because of the gating, it's not just a way to monetize but more importantly a perk to your most loyal community, would love if you guys can bring it back and sell it hard. I remember being told that the collecting feature would be just as good in terms of monetization, however there is no ecnomic incentive for anyone to collect the post atm so I'm failing to see the big pic the team may be seeing. secon, I've been asking for a search function that every other blog site has, it's really a pain having to go through 100+ posts to find the post that you wanna read.🫠 A few more small suggestions: offer more background color options, provide more choices than just the most popular blogs at the top of each blog page, and include a header when the Paragraph page appears in Google search, similar to Medium, instead of just plain text.
Paragraph unveils a revitalized publication homepage and streamlined post page design, enhancing reader interactions and giving writers tools to showcase their best work. Upcoming features aim to support audience growth and new monetization avenues. Discover the details by @paragraph.
